Introducing SPIRIT
Imagine an exclusive blend of yoga and Pilates, set to uplifting music. That's SPIRIT, one of our range of Signature Classes, which you can only get at David Lloyd Clubs.
SPIRIT is the ideal yoga-Pilates hybrid for anyone looking for a satisfying workout with elements of meditation.
Work your core, get lost in the flow and find stillness. Whether you're interested in yoga for fitness or stress relief, our Woking studio offers multiple classes every week. The sessions are suitable for everyone from absolute beginners to those who have been practising for years.
Yoga classes are one way to take care of your wellbeing as a member of our health club. There are also plenty of other possibilities. After you've rolled up your mat, enjoy our indoor pool or make time for post-workout recovery in the Spa Garden. You can get some work done over a delicious coffee in our Clubroom, explore our excellent gym or try a totally different style of exercise class. Find out which type of membership will suit you best.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by linking postures together. You move from one to another, seamlessly, synching up with your breathing. Commonly referred to as ‘Flow Yoga’, Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are the same.
Hatha is a yoga practice that aims to bring balance to mind and body. It's designed to help you maintain overall health and well-being as you match breathing to postures.
In this class, you’ll experience a dynamic form of yoga. Positions are short and strong, helping you to improve endurance and focus.
As well as yoga classes, we offer Pilates mat classes. Pilates focuses on strengthening the core to benefit the whole body, and there's usually some flexibility work, too.
Yoga is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of ability.
Our experienced yoga instructors will patiently and expertly guide you through your practice, providing advice and correction when necessary. They can adapt the sequences for every ability, so beginners can mix with more experienced yogis.
As a holistic form of exercise, yoga helps you take care of both mind and body. Classes include physical postures, or ‘asanas’, breathing techniques and, sometimes, meditation. From a regular yoga practice, you can enjoy fitness benefits such as improved strength and flexibility. Research has also linked yoga to reduced stress and enhanced mood.
The benefits of yoga are even more important as you move through life. A regular yoga practice can support you in your everyday activities - expect improved posture, balance and flexibility after you start attending classes.
Wear comfortable clothing for our yoga classes, and bring a water bottle if you're doing a more dynamic session. A pair of grip gloves and/or socks can help you feel extra-secure. We have everything else you need, such as yoga mats and props, but feel free to use your own mat if you prefer.
Booking is easy with the David Lloyd Clubs app. Simply navigate to the timetable from the home screen and select the session you want.
